We adopted Chewey into our family on May 13th, 2007. He came from a family that was moving
and didn't want to keep him. Chewey was not held or petted and was very afraid of people. We worked on
socializing him for two whole months when we adopted him, and now he loves attention! He allows lots of people
to pet him, begs for treats, and loves to show-off his good looks as he takes a "dust bath" in front
of dozens of people! Chinchillas are famous for being the softest animal in the entire world, and they are also an endangered
species due to the fur trade. We adopted Rudy in August 2008. He came from a very loving family
that had a 5 year old daughter who was developing very bad allergies because of animal dander. They reluctantly decided
it would be best for their daughter if they found Rudy a new home. Rudy is the sweetest little guy and he'll do
anything for his favorite treat: Raisins!
