We adopted Tinker from a family in Texas on March 3rd, 2008. He had been a laboratory
animal for a short time, and when the lab could no longer use him he was given to the foster family we got him from.
Short-Tailed Opossums are pouchless marsupials with thumbs on their back feet and a prehensile tail. Expert
climbers, they explore large areas of the rainforest canopy at night in search of fruits and insects.
Every night Tinker moves his bed to a different spot, carrying it with his incredible tail!
