MA school curriculum-based programs

Looking for a new way to get your students excited about learning?  We have developed several interactive learning experiences tailored specifically to the PreK-5 learning standards of the Massachusetts school curriculum.  All programs below can be further customized and we can also develop new programs to specifically fit your needs.

Grades PreK-2 Programs

Dare to Compare

For this program we bring a wide variety of animals to your school and the children help separate them into different groups and further into different classes by observing and learning about the animals' features.  This course ties into learning standards #2.

Habitat Helpers

In this class, students will meet several animals as we discuss their habitats and survival requirements.  Students will also help to construct two real animal habitats.  This course is designed for learning standards #1 & 8.

Life Cycle Learning

Children will learn about the life cycle of two different animals and the similarities and differences between the two.  Students will also help build habitats for each animal, modifying it appropriately for the different life cycles.  This class relates to learning standard #3.

Fun with Fossils

Students will observe and we will discuss various fossils.  We will also compare characteristics of the fossils to live animals.  For classroom-sized groups, students will even get to make a fossil to take home!  This course ties into learning standard #5.

Super Senses

Learn all about the incredible senses some of our animal friends possess and how you can expand your own senses by learning from them.  This program is designed to meet learning standard #6.

Grades 3-5 Programs

Critter Comparison

This course is similar to our "Dare to Compare" course for PreK-2, but more in depth and thorough geared for grades 3-5.  We will bring a wide variety of animals to your school; teach the children about the various characteristics that make them similar and different from each other and together group them into categories.  This course ties into learning standards #1.

Life Cycle Lesson

This course is similar to our "Life Cycle Learning" course for PreK-2, but geared for grades 3-5.  Students will learn about the life cycle of two different animals.  In addition to discussing the similarities and differences between the life cycles of the two animals, students will also help build habitats for each animal.  We will then modify the habitats for the different life cycles.  This class relates to learning standards #3 & 4.

Adaptation Explanation

In this course we bring several animals and discuss and demonstrate how each animal has adapted over time to survive in its changing environment.  This course ties into learning standards #6.

The Food Chain Gang

In this program, we will explore how energy is transferred within the food chain by discussing the sun, plants, and several live animals including herbivores, carnivores and decomposers.  This program is designed to meet learning standard #11.

Why Do They Do That?

This program highlights different animals behaviors that are instinctive versus learned, teaching the students the difference between the two.  This course ties into learning standards #8.
